The Victoria Regional Airport, served by Continental Express, has five daily scheduled flights between Victoria and Houston. Chartered aircraft are also available.

Victoria is served by three U.S. highways and is less than a two-hour drive from three U.S. interstates. U.S. Highway 59, which dissects Victoria, will gain interstate status and link Canada, the U.S. and Mexico together. Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroads serve the Victoria region.

The Victoria Barge Canal links Victoria County with the Intracoastal Waterway. A $32.5 million expansion project, scheduled for completion in 1998, will widen and deepen the existing canal.

The deepwater Port of Port Lavaca-Point Comfort, located 30 miles from Victoria, completed a $62 million expansion in late 1994. The state-of-the-art facility features the latest in environmental and firefighting equipment.
